Moses Geply is a Liberian practical radio journalist, working at the community radio station [Smile FM]. The station is located in Zwedru, the capital City of Grand Gedeh County in the southeastern region of Liberia. Moses works as Field Reporter for the station. He like new challenges!
Daffae Senkpeni
Daffae Senkpeni is a Liberian journalist with over ten years of experience in broadcast journalism and five years in the print media. Alpha is a senior student at the University of Liberia, where he reads mass communication and has acquired several certificates in development reporting. He currently severs as News and program Coordinator at LACSA Radio, a community radio station in Grand Bassa County and he is also the County correspondent for award winning FrontPage Africa Newspaper and online service in Grand Bassa County. Senkpeni’s passion for journalism comes from his desire to see change in his country that is struggling to deal with massive challenges in the health, education, and economic sectors of the country. He is dedicated to development and humanitarian journalism. He has produced and written several articles about the Ebola outbreak in his country and is credited for being the first Liberian journalist to travel to a very remote town in Rivercess County when the virus ravage and killed over eleven people in a village.
Eric Opa Doue
Eric Opa Doue is one of Liberia’s emerging community radio leaders. He was first spotted by the RiverCess Broadcasting Corporation in 2005. Since then Eric as demonstrated passion for information dissemination to the local population of his native RiverCess County. In 2008 He established “Echo Radio Station” which does series of programs in local languages including Bassa, Kru and simple Liberian English. His leadership has brought many benefits and growth to Echo Radio such as being selected as one of Moody Radio global partners for training opportunities in 2013 and 2014. At the end of the trainings in 2014 Echo Radio obtained a certificate in Radio production. Because of lack of qualified staff and funds to run community radios in Liberia Eric also serves as a reporter. His drive for reporting led him to apply for Internews training on humanitarian reporting intended to help journalists cover the Ebola Virus Disease outbreak in his home country Liberia. He is one of few reporters who were selected out of scores of applicants to participate in Internews 2015 training. Eric holds a Diploma in Journalism from the Ghana School of Journalism.
Alfred J. Sirleaf
Alfred J. Sirleaf is the founder, managing editor and sole employee of the Daily Talk , who founded his blackboard newspaper in 2000 because of his belief that a well-informed citizenry is the key to the rebirth of Liberia after years of civil war. In post-war Liberia, Sirleaf sees access to information as the key to peace. He compiles his stories daily from newspaper reports and messages from volunteer correspondents. Sirleaf first built his shack, which serves as the news room for the blackboard installed outside, during the rule of Charles Taylor. It was destroyed by government soldiers after The Daily Talk published criticism of the Taylor regime, and Sirleaf was briefly jailed. With help from his fellow Monrovians, Sirleaf rebuilt it a week before the 2005 election of president Ellen Johnson Sirleaf (not a close relation) and resumed publication of the Daily Talk.
Henry B. Gboluma
Henry B. Gboluma, Jr. is the Program Director of the Voice of Kpo, based in Gbarpolu County. Henry was born on November 15, 1981 and he is married with a child. He holds a Diploma in Environment and Occupational Health Project Management, and he also obtained several training certificates in journalism. Presently, he is the Secretary General for the Civil Society Organizations Network in Gbarpolu County, the Secretary for the Western Regional Investigative Journalism Hut (WRJH) and he is a practicing journalist for the Voice of Kpo. Henry is also a consultant for the project department of the Mano River Union Youth Parliament, Liberia Chapter-Gbarpolu sub-office. He is passionate about social issues.
