Tubmanberg City – Bomi County assistant superintendent for development, Ernest Gray Davis, says five major clinics have been renovated and expanded to provide health delivery services for five communities in the county.
Davis named Zordee, Bonjeh, Garyah Hills, Vortor and Dargwui town clinics as health facilities recently renovated and expanded.
He said most of the health facilities refurbished had limited space to cater to the in flux of patients.
They were also in deplorable conditions and could not accommodate many in patients, he added.
He said there have been some improvements at those health facilities since the county administration’s intervention.
At the same time, Superintendent Davis frowned at unknown individuals that “constantly burglarized” public facilities in Bomi County.
He said there have been burglaries of pubic structures including the recently built multi-purpose building and the Gbalasua town and Vincent compound town halls, causing important materials to be taken away by burglars.
Several people in the county commended the leadership of the county for their “hard work” but also expressed concern over the delays in holding the annual county sitting which, according to the budget law, allow local stakeholders from across the county to convene and discuss development projects or priorities for the county.
’I am proud of you Mr. Superintendent for your good works in our county,’’ said Albert Sherman.
“My only disappointment in the leadership of the county has to do with our county sitting, three years now no county sitting.’’
“The work on those clinics will now help us to be well catered to by nurses because of the space created,’’ said Sando Kawah.
