I.O.M MOBILE CLINIC

The International Organization for Migration has begun providing medical services to people residing in rural communities of Grand Cape Mount County. The services which is known as Mobile Clinic according to Doctor Ibrahim Mgao is intended to bring medical facility closer to people who are in faraway areas in Cape Mount and cannot easily access hospital or clinic to seek treatment for curable diseases.

Doctor Mgao revealed that since they begin the Mobile Clinic services, they have observed that many of the people that have being tested by the team have chronic diseases due to lack of health facility which have prevented some of the them from seeking medical attention. He pointed out that some of the common diseases that he has observed that are affecting many people in those communities the mobile clinic team has visited are high blood pressure, and chronic infections among many others.

Doctor Ibrahim Mgao has disclosed that his team in close consultation with the County Health Team of Cape Mount will shortly begin surgical operations at the Sinje Health Centers on some patients that are having minor surgical problems. He noted that as the Ebola situation continue to decrease; the I.O.M has deemed it necessary to take health care delivery services to the rural communities of Cape Mount in order to buttress the effort of the Health Ministry of Liberia.
