Margibi DEO Encourages Students despite Ebola

Following the resurgence of the Ebola virus diseases in the Liberia with Margibi County linked to all five cases including the deceased 17 year old boy identify as the index case, one Education Officer of the county has cautioned students against the virus.

Marshall’s Education officer, Marcia Edwards called on students in Liberia not to be discouraged amidst rumors that grade schools will be closed on July 31th of this year.

Speaking to reporters recently at her Harbel office, Mrs. Marcia Edwards said it is so discouraging for students to abundant school in fear of spending protracted time in the same grade

She also said, the Ministry of Education is doing everything possible to improve the Liberian school system and as such students must be patient in attaining quality education.

Commenting on request for students who have been oustanding during this year academic to get promotion, the Margibi County educational staff welcomes the idea but stressed on merit.

Mrs. Edwards further said it is good to endorse learner extending to the next academic level when said individual meet up with the require grade points.
She admonished parents to be conscious about their children educational advancement and assert efforts that will make them future leaders.

Expressing empathy on challenges faced by students, Mrs. Edwards said prior to her ascendancy as District Education Officer, she had spent over ten years in the teaching field, as such she understands circumstances learners encounter while pursuing quality education.

However, Madam Edwards assured both parents and students government commitment and readiness in ensuring the provision of quality education for all.

Speaking further Mrs. Edwards warned citizens of Liberia especially students in Margibi County, to continuously follow all of the Ebola preventive measures instituted by government in order to keep save.
